I actually found some out the character interactions to be pretty authentic feeling. When this happens you'll either get a chance to do a unique quest with them or a cutscene with them after a regular mission. If you take them on free missions the gauge builds and it'll eventually (after maybe 3 missions) give an opportunity to advance. How it works is that you have basically a hidden friendship gauge with each NPC. It's not really deep or complicated but it's pretty decent, imo. Yes, there is something of a relationship system in Rage Burst.

I only knew it was an enhance port of the PSP one. So the sequel has a semblance of a relationship/friendship system, then? If so, I can't wait to play that one since I like seeing character growth especially on games that I play.Īlso, I didn't know that Resurrection was the latest. Again, maybe it's not like that in Resurrection, so take it with a grain of salt. If it's the latter, you can tell because it'll say "event" on the character's name in the selection screen where you pick teammates. Some of the quests in that line are actual missions and others are just cutscenes that will play before or after a free mission.
The more free missions you do with them the more you build friendship and get access to advancing the quest line. So I may be wrong about how Resurrection does things, but in the sequel it's not random. Originally posted by DracoMagnusRufus:I have only played a little bit of Resurrection but a lot of Rage Burst.
